Since 1996 Tapas Restaurant & Tavern has served Rutland providing quality &
reasonably priced food. It is a place for folks to gather whether it be for
conversation, a beverage and or for food. Over the years our menu has evolved
from a traditional Tapas to include a variety of fare for all appetites.
The Definition of “Tapas”
Tapas is not a particular type of food. Anything can be Tapas; as long as it is
small & served with your drink. A ‘tapa” is a “lid” or “cover.” In the early
days of Tapas, a slice of cheese or ham was given with your drink and placed
over your drink. There is somewhat of a debate over why exactly this was done:
#1. To keep out the flies.
#2. To hide the smell of the bad wine.
#3. To keep the wind from blowing your drink everywhere.
Tapas Restaurant & Tavern is your local oasis for food & fun. Come for the
food--stay for the fun lunch time, dinner time, anytime.

Friday & Saturday Serving 11:30 to 9:30 PM
